Ponticon GmbH is a dynamically growing company and establishes the 3DMD technology in the industrial and academic environment with innovations "Made in Germany". For this purpose, the entire team supports our customers with extensive know-how in the field of coatings, additive manufacturing and materials science. With our actions, we make an important contribution to higher productivity, increased resource efficiency and more flexibility for the production of tomorrow. At the same time, our customers' products benefit from improved application properties.

Together with the Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Production Systems FBK at TU Kaiserslautern we provide SMEs with access to innovative coating and 3D printing processes.

At Formnext, Ponticon will introduce its new pE3D system for Dynamic Material Deposition (DMD), a process developed for additive manufacturing, coating and repairing complex-shaped metallic workpieces. Extreme High-speed Laser Material Deposition EHLA, developed at the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT, is considered an efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to conventional cladding processes. It offers significant advantages, particularly for coating metallic components that are subject to extreme stress and, therefore, need to be protected from corrosion and wear. Together with Ponticon GmbH, scientists at Fraunhofer ILT are continuing to work on the patented process, now named EHLA 3D, to advance it for additive manufacturing and, thus, expand its possibilities.
